After the news from Foot Mercato that Crystal Palace made a last attempt at signing Aymen Abdennour from Valencia, RMC Sport decided to add two names to the list of interested clubs with their own article on the matter.

According to the French outlet, both West Ham and Everton made contact with the player about a possible move to the Premier League, but the Valencia defender doesn’t appear to be interested.

Having already passed his medical for a move to Zenit St Petersburg, Abdennour is said to be delaying his transfer in case Marseille come in, wanting to return to France if possible.

Why he doesn’t think a move to either London Stadium or Goodison Park is good for him isn’t said, but RMC do state the 28-year-old is attracted by the Ligue 1 club’s challenge.

Everton being linked isn’t exactly a surprise considering Ronald Koeman allegedly tried to sign Abdennour last year, and there’s every chance that’s why they’re thrown in.

With West Ham added to the list, that means the Hammers, the Toffees, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Southampton and Watford have all been linked with a move for Abdennour since January.
