West Ham and Crystal Palace were among several Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing Ishak Belfodil during the winter transfer window. The London pair were said to be keen on a January deal for the Algerian and they could reignite their interest in the summer.
The same DH which reported the West Ham and Crystal Palace interest is now reporting that Belfodil is set to leave Standard Liege during the next transfer window. There’s no doubt about it, with the only question for DH being who is going to replace Standard’s main striker.
Belfodil has impressed in Belgium this season, the 25 year old finally getting his talent and application together to become a force. A Premier League move looks like a distinct possibility, and several clubs will be keen.
Standard are likely to ask for a fee of around €10m, something that wouldn’t be too much of a problem for either West Ham or Crystal Palace.
