ASpor have reported Besiktas are demanding at least €20m from any club interested in signing their captain Oguzhan Ozyakup this summer.

The Turkish international may be tempted to leave Besiktas to move to one of the major European leagues, and in recent weeks he’s been linked with a move to West Ham United. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has been showing a recent interest in Ozyakup, as the Croatian looks to bolster his squad this summer.

Earlier this month we covered reports from Turkey that West Ham are looking to sign Ozyakup this summer, and that Bilic wanted to be reunited with the player, following their time together at Besiktas.

Ozyakup is stalling on extending his contract with Besiktas, with claims he could be interested in a move to West Ham. His club aren’t keen to sell in the next window, but with just 12 months left on his contract they could be under pressure in the coming weeks.

If towards the end of the transfer window Ozyakup still hasn’t renewed then it’s quite possible West Ham could negotiate a lower fee than €20m, whatever Besiktas may be demanding now.
