Reports from the French media today continue to talk about West Ham’s interest in Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.

On Wednesday morning, it had been newspaper L’Equipe who claimed the Hammers are ‘still hot’ and ‘pushing hard’ for the signing.

It was written that Lille ‘formally confirmed’ the chase from West Ham, while the Ligue 1 side demand €40m for his sale.

Now it’s time for La Voix Du Nord to talk about this pursuit. The local Lille newspaper reports the Hammers would like to sign Onana to make him a successor to Mark Noble.

It’s said West Ham have already ‘come to an agreement’ with the player, and now seek a financial deal with Lille for the move.

La Voix Du Nord backs up that the request is €40m, and says the Hammers ‘would prepare an offer in this region’.

The report claims there’s another Premier League side who are also ‘particularly interested’ in the player, but their name wasn’t found out yet. L’Equipe’s report had a mention of Everton and Leicester City, but it was really the chase from David Moyes’ side that was highlighted.
