West Ham United are set to complete a move for Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral before the end of today.
That’s according to Sport-Express in Russia, who say a loan deal for the midfielder will be closed ‘tonight or tomorrow’.
They say that there was difficulty in the negotiations between the two clubs over a purchase clause being included in the deal.
West Ham have now accepted one being a part of the move, though, with them now having a ‘mandatory’ €13m clause to sign him at the end of the season.
There is no mention of whether this is activated under certain conditions or whether he will be joining regardless of what happens next season.
Either way, a deal is set to be completed at some point tonight or tomorrow morning. If it is the latter, it would presumably be a case of the deal sheet being submitted this evening and the transfer announced tomorrow.
Kral will be the second player to arrive from Russia at West Ham this summer, with them also recently completing a deal for CSKA Moscow star Nikola Vlasic.
