This week, the Italian press has been convinced that Napoli are struggling to sign AC Milan’s Yunus Musah, giving West Ham a much better chance of signing the midfielder.
At one point, it seemed as if the Italian champions had sealed a deal for the American, and that is when the player decided to reject the Hammers’ approach.
Gazzetta dello Sport today cover what’s changed in the transfer, and it’s again good news for West Ham.
Gazzetta report Musah’s move to Napoli looks like an uphill task now as the two clubs have failed to find an agreement. Milan have wanted a deal that goes up to €25m, but Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has not gone beyond €20m including fixed bonuses.
Neither of the two parties are looking to hold further discussions and as a result, the 22-year-old’s transfer is at a stalemate.
Gazzetta believe that ‘West Ham can step in’ and land Musah.
Milan desperately need money from the US international’s sale to finance an approach for Javi Guerra and it is likely that they would want Graham Potter’s side to come forward with a renewed attempt.
