West Ham United are expected to make an official offer for Independiente defender Kevin Lomonaco at the beginning of June.

That’s according to journalist Facundo Jauregui, who reports that Independiente are expecting an offer to arrive from West Ham worth around €17.6m for Lomonaco.

He provides nothing more on the matter than that, just that West Ham are expected to make an official offer at the beginning of June after being credited with an interest in April.

That report, from Cronica, stated that West Ham and Crystal Palace were expected to ‘go after’ the 23-year-old defender at some point this summer.

They had reportedly already started exploring the possibility of a move, and Independiente, particularly manager Julio Vaccari, were concerned about the player moving to Europe.

That report stated they valued Lomonaco at €6m but Jauregui now reports the official offer from West Ham is expected to be close to triple that at $20m, around €17.6m.

We’ll wait and see on that front, with it likely the Argentine media are going big on the defender for now, perhaps hoping for as much Premier League cash as they can get their hands of if West Ham do come calling.
