Turkish TV Channel A Spor report Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza is again wanted by West Bromwich Albion.

The Brazilian has been linked with West Brom in the past 12 months, and recently their rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers were said to have taken an interest in the player.

A Spor say West Brom officials are looking to reignite their interest in Souza, as they look for an instant return to the Premier League.

According to the Turkish media outlet, West Brom have made a €12m bid to sign the central midfielder, and the final decision will be made by Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli.

It was reported last month Wolves are also prepared to offer €12m for the former Brazil international and have contacted Fenerbahce.

Wolves were promoted to the Premier League recently and are looking to bolster their squad this summer. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been linked with a number of players since the end of the season, and some of the rumours seem a little forced.

Souza’s contract expires in 12 months and a move to England looks a possibility in this transfer window, but West Brom’s relegation surely dilutes the attractiveness of the club.
