West Bromwich Albion last night sent scouts to the game between FC Porto and Club Brugge, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola. The Premier League side had the previous night been present at Benfica’s clash with Dynamo Kiev.

A Bola have confirmed West Bromwich Albion were on the scouting list to watch the Champions League group stage tie, which Porto won 1-0. The West Midland’s side were joined by other clubs from England including Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle United.

There have been no reports to who West Bromwich Albion were watching last night, but given they were also in Lisbon on Tuesday night this could have been just a general scouting trip to watch possible targets.

A number of players have arrived in England in recent seasons from the Portuguese league, and with the transfer window set to open in January, West Bromwich Albion may already been looking ahead to recruit new signings.
