Kamil Grosicki’s agent, Daniel Kaniewski, has insisted his client is 99% likely to stay at West Bromwich Albion despite interest in the winger from the Championship.
Grosicki is yet to appear in the Premier League for West Brom, with just one appearance in the EFL Cup to his name this season.
That’s led to questions about his future at the club, with the player, who made 44 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies last season, clearly disappointed with the situation.
There has been talk about a return to the Championship given that window remains open, but his agent insists that is very unlikely to happen.
“Staying at the club is the best solution,” he told RDC Sports Magazine, relayed by TVP Sport.
“The transfer window is not over for the Championship yet. There was an option, and there were talks with Olympiacos.
“It happened as it happened. Kamil stays at West Brom and will play there. 99%. Nothing will happen again.”
The question for Grosicki, then, is whether he can force his way into Slaven Bilic’s plans in the coming weeks and months.
As stated, he’s yet to appear in the league, with the West Brom manager preferring the likes of Grady Diangana, Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson ahead of him so far.
However, the international break has provided Grosicki with the perfect opportunity to showcase his talent and prove his worth.
That is something he has grasped with both hands with him managing a 38th-minute hattrick in Poland’s 5-1 win over Finland on Wednesday evening, something his agent is hoping Bilic saw.
“Kamil was successful in the clash with Finland. It was one of his best performances for the national team,” he added.
“Kamil is such a player that he always gives the team a heart. I hope that the club coach Slaven Bilić saw his goals
“After the promotion of the WBA, we spoke to the coach, and he was pleased with what Kamil had brought to the team.
“I think that after this performance Slaven will give him a chance and that in the next game he will be on the pitch at least in the second half. There are five world-class players on the wings of the WBA.
“This is a problem, but Kamil is ambitious, and the card favours him in difficult moments. I hope everything will be fine.”
