Greek website Sdna.Gr claims West Bromwich Albion are back in for AEK midfielder Petros Mantalos, with the Championship club ready to make an offer to sign the 27 year old.
Mantalos was strongly linked with a move to West Brom during the final days of the last summer transfer window but AEK decided to keep their captain.
However, after their poor start to the season and elimination from the Champions League, the Greek club’s stance could change this time if West Brom make a good offer.
According to Sdna, Mantalos is not against a move to the English second tier and with West Brom in a decent position to get promotion back to the Premier League, the player could be tempted in this transfer window.
The Baggies are just three points outside the automatic places.
The midfielder has played 21 games for AEK in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.
Mantalos is under contract at AEK until June 2022.
