Aksam claim West Bromwich Albion have tabled a £17.7m offer with Galatasaray for Garry Rodrigues.

Last week we covered reports from Turkey that West Brom sporting director Giuliano Terraneo had sent an email to Galatasaray with regards to Rodrigues, and he now wants to hold talks with the player over a potential move to the Hawthorns.

According to Aksam, West Brom’s reported £17.7m offer has been welcomed by the Galatasaray board as they are looking to sell the 27 year old for around this price.

However, Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim doesn’t want to lose the player and had been planning with him for the Champions League next season.

Subsequently it’s claimed the Galatasaray board will try to convince Terim over the sale of the player and if the Turkish coach backs down then the Cape Verde international will be sold to West Brom.

Rodrigues has also been strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer but it’s now West Brom being pushed.

It doesn’t take the most cynical mind to question whether West Brom have really offered such an amount, for several reason.
