Setting the Hawthorns on fire against West Ham back in September with two goals and two assists in one game, Nacer Chadli’s form has dropped a bit, and by that we mean two goals in his last five league games.

An integral part of Tony Pulis’ attacking tactical plans, the Belgian forward is enjoying life at West Brom, and life back in the Belgium squad.

Left out by Marc Wilmots from the Belgium national team going to the Euros in France, Chadli understood the decision, considering his lack of game time at Tottenham, but didn’t like the way it was done.

Speaking to Sport/Foot Magazine in Belgium in their weekly magazine, the 27-year-old recalled the moment he found out he wouldn’t be a part of the squad.

Asked if he felt there was an injustice, he said: “For me, maybe, not for the others. However, to call me up for four years and not call me to tell me (he wasn’t selected for the Euros) is a lack of respect. I didn’t get a phone call or a text.”

Going a bit further in his criticism, Chadli explained Belgium under Robert Martinez was ‘much better tactically’ than under Wilmots, where players weren’t quite sure what they needed to do individually on the pitch.

Damning…
