In their Thursday edition, Turin newspaper Tuttosport yet again have an article on Kieran Gibbs.
The West Brom player is interesting local club Torino and there’s some hope a deal can be done given the Baggies’ relegation.
Tuttosport say Gibbs isn’t keen on playing in the Championship and will therefore accept a move to Torino ‘enthusiastically’ if given the chance to take it.
Naturally, the Italian club would rather get a loan than have to pay a transfer fee, although they may be open to a buying option applicable for next summer.
The Gibbs idea has now taken over from an earlier Torino plan to sign Firpo from Real Betis. With the Seville club demanding more than €10m for the 22 year old left-back, Gibbs is seen as a cheaper option.
Once again it’s not made clear what West Brom’s plans are with regards to the former Arsenal player.
Torino may find the English as hard to deal with as Betis, despite the confidence that a deal is possible.
