West Brom are edging closer to completing the signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak after a series of claims from France.
The Baggies have been linked with several defensive or combative midfielders in recent weeks and with PSG keen for the Poland international to leave, a loan has become possible.
PSG would have preferred a permanent transfer, as they look to dance around FFP following the Neymar deal, but at this late stage of the window they’ll take what they can get.
L’Equipe report West Brom are now ‘close’ to securing Krychowiak on loan for the rest of the season. There’s no mention of any close to buy the player, whether optional or compulsory.
Should West Brom complete the Krychowiak deal then it could place doubt over Josef de Souza.
According to claims in Turkey and Brazil on Tuesday, West Brom have had a €10m+ offer accepted for the midfielder, but they probably don’t need both Souza and Krychowiak.
