West Bromwich Albion face competition from Fenerbahce if they wish to keep Okay Yokuslu at the club beyond the summer.
The Turkish midfielder has been on loan with West Brom since January when he was brought in by Sam Allardyce in his efforts to refresh the squad and avoid relegation.
They ultimately failed in that endeavour, and it’s expected that Yokuslu will return to Celta Vigo, who are hoping to cash in on his good performances for the Baggies.
They face competition to keep him permanently, with it already reported that there is Premier League interest in the West Brom loanee.
Fenerbahce can now be added to the list of suitors, according to Takvim, who say they are eyeing him up as a replacement for Luis Gustavo.
They explain that the Brazilian is likely to leave Fener this summer after losing his place under interim manager Emre Belozoglu.
The club’s management are keen to move him on, and as part of these discussions, a ‘flash name’ came up to replace him; Yokuslu.
His ‘great performance’ for West Brom has aroused Fenerbahce’s interest, and he ‘took first place’ on their transfer list as a result.
It’s stated that he doesn’t want to continue in Spain and ‘will first expect’ an offer from England, but if this does not come, he will turn to other options.
Fenerbahce will be one of them, and their preferred option would be securing a loan move with a purchase option included at the end of it.
West Brom, then, might have to be quick if they want to convince Yokuslu to stay, with his performances seemingly earning him admiring glances and them competition for his signature.
