Fanatik claim West Bromwich Albion are serious about signing Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza in the next window, after their failed attempts in the summer.

West Brom tried to sign the Brazilian late into the last window, but a deal never materialised.

The Turkish newspaper says the English side are looking to offer €15m to sign the South American, as they believe he could be the man to change their season.

The Premier League side started the season with a back to back wins, but since then Tony Pulis’ side have failed to win a game in 9 matches.

Fanatik report Fenerbahce are to open to selling the 29-year old midfielder and they have even identified Santos’ Lucas Lima and AC Milan’s Gustavo Gomez as possible replacements.

De Souza has impressed for Fenerbahce this season, and Futbol Arena say there are two to three Premier League clubs showing an interest in the player, so West Brom should expect to face competition.

If Pulis believes De Souza can turn West Brom’s season around then he’s being optimistic to say the least.
