It seems that William Carvalho is not the only Sporting player who West Brom have been keeping an eye on lately. Along with the midfielder, the Baggies would also be interested in Dutch striker Bas Dost, according to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã.
It’s claimed the Baggies have been watching the player and would be interested in signing him for next season. But as in every chase involving a Sporting player, it won’t be easy to take him to West Brom.
Bast Dost has a €60m release clause, and considering the great season he’s been having, Sporting won’t let him go for an awful lot less than that.
With 34 goals scored, the player has been in the race for the European Golden Boot, alongside Barcelona forward Lionel Messi. Since manager Tony Pulis has recently revealed he’s been watching Sporting’s games, the Portuguese press were always likely to link other players.
To sign both would need West Brom to part with much more money than they usually do in the summer.
