Leaving Tottenham over the summer, Nacer Chadli hasn’t taken too long to settle in at West Brom if his performance against West Ham was anything to go by.

Bought from Spurs for just over £12m, the Belgian forward has helped his new team enjoy a relatively positive start to the season, as Tony Pulis’ side currently sit 10th in the Premier League picking up eight points from their first six games.

Speaking to Het Nieuwsblad over the weekend, the 27-year-old discussed various things, including making some predictions for the current season.

Asked who he thought would be this season’s topscorer, he said: “Harry Kane. He’s scored about thirty goals two years in a row. He’s going to do this again.”

This is an impressive show of faith from Chadli in his former teammate, considering the England striker is currently injured, and Sergio Agüero, Diego Costa and Michael Antonio are all on five goals compared to Harry Kane’s two.

As for who he believes will be the best Belgian in the Premier League this year? Chadli was rather confident: “Nacer Chadli. I must demonstrate some healthy ambition, eh? (laughs)”

Frankly, we can’t believe he didn’t go for Marouane Fellaini. Or even Kevin De Bruyne. Rather selfish, don’t you think?
