It looks like West Brom remain interested in the Portuguese market for the coming transfer windows.
Following the arrivals of Filip Krovinovic, Chris Willock and Matheus Pereira last summer, the Baggies continue to keep an eye on the country this season.
That’s because according to newspaper A Bola today, the Championship side sent scouts to watch the Europa League clash between Braga and Rangers on Wednesday night.
With another win for the Scottish side, Braga ended up getting knocked-out of the competition, even though they’ve been showing some quality this season, which keeps them in 3rd place in the Portuguese league.
Despite the loss, there were still positives to take from a few players on the home side. Matheus, who saved a penalty, and Esgaio, who created several chances, were their main stars. Bruno Viana and Paulinho have been praised by the local media as well.
With the Portuguese market proving to be a good place to get players in the past few years, West Brom look to be continuing with the idea of recruiting from there.
