Dutch champions PSV have joined the race to sign former AC Milan defender Kevin Constant according to claims in the Dutch media. The 29-year-old is currently without a club after his contract expired with Bologna this summer, and has also been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.

Voetbal Primeur have reported PSV are showing an interest in Constant after the deal to sign Chelsea defender Kenedy in the summer window fell through at the last minute. The Guinea international is currently without a club, which means PSV or WBA would be able to land the player outside the transfer window.

It’s also claimed Bordeaux are interested in bringing Constant back to France, with other clubs expected to join the chase.

During the last window we covered reports WBA could look to move in on Constant, but their preferred option was Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor.

However, Taylor remained with the Championship side, meaning WBA now need to look at free agents if they want to bring in a left sided defender now the window has closed.
