Galatasaray are interested in Liverpool’s out of favour defender Mamadou Sakho, according to Fanatik. Cim-Bom reportedly wants to sign a defender in the upcoming transfer window to replace Aurelien Chedjou, but will face competition to land the Frenchman.
Chedjou looks set to leave the club in January and Sakho has emerged as a target along with Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranochhia. Fanatik says Galatasaray will try to loan Sakho with a view to making it permanent in the summer but the Turkish giants face competition from AC Milan and West Brom to sign the central defender.
West Brom could look to bring in a defender during the next transfer window, and manager Tony Pulis is keen on the Liverpool player. Sakho has yet to feature for Liverpool this season, and West Brom could look to take advantage and snap up a Premier League experienced player.
Signed from PSG in 2013, Sakho is a fan favourite on Merseyside but his off-field antics were clearly not welcomed by Jurgen Klopp. The German manager has made it clear Sakho isn’t part of his first team plans, and so an exit is inevitable.
Sakho must start playing regularly to have any chance of saving his France career, and adding to the 28 caps he’s reached for his country.
