West Brom were one of a number of clubs with an official attend the match between Rio Ave and Pacos de Ferreira on Saturday, details A Bola in their match report of the game.

Tony Pulis’ side have been linked with purchases from Portugal over the past year, including repeated claims they’re keen on Sporting’s William Carvalho.

Rio Ave and Pacos de Ferreira aren’t among the biggest clubs in Portugal, and neither side are currently in the top half of the Portuguese league. Despite that, West Brom were joined by clubs including Lille, Manchester United, Celta Vigo, Lens Eibar, Southampton and Watford.

The match ended 0-0 and A Bola don’t present it as a game which saw some amazing performances. One player who did stand out is Filip Krovinović, a 21 year old attacking midfielder for Rio Ave.

At this stage it would look to be general scouting for West Brom, with the potential of signing of a lesser known bargain in the summer transfer window.
