There’s some big confidence in the Portuguese media today that West Bromwich Albion will manage to keep Filip Krovinović at the club for longer.
Many newspapers say Benfica are ready to find a deal with the Baggies. But thing is that each one says this deal should be made in a different way.
Let’s start with A Bola, who brings the shortest story. They only say Krovinović is staying at West Brom on another loan deal, with an obligatory buying clause at the end of the spell.
Then we have reports from Record and O Jogo, who start talking about how much should the Baggies pay for the transfer.
O Jogo writes that West Brom are asking for a new loan, for which they’ll pay €3.3m.
Then at the end of the spell, there’s an obligatory buying clause which would cost the club €7.8m, letting Benfica make just over €11m with the transfer.
For the clause to be triggered, the Krovinovic must play over half of the Baggies’ games this season, and the club must guarantee their stay in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Record’s story is a little more simple. They say West Brom want a new loan with a buying option of €6m, which would be automatically triggered in case they avoid relegation. Benfica are reportedly trying to put his amount up.
Either way, it seems the clubs are getting closer to an agreement.
