Turkish newspaper Aksam report Besiktas attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic is still wanted by West Bromwich Albion.

The Serbian could leave the Super Lig club this summer after an inconsistent season, and Aksam claim West Brom is a possibility for his next destination.

The 28 year old is also reportedly wanted by Japanese club Vissel Kobe, and Aksam claim the Besiktas board are happy to listen to offers for Ljajic, as they want to remove him from their wage bill.

Besiktas currently have financial problems and subsequently need to offload some of their high earners.

After securing promotion to the Premier League last month, West Brom are looking to bolster their squad and they’ve been linked with several players currently plying their trade in Turkey, including Domagoj Vida and Vedat Muriqi.

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic managed Besiktas between 2013 and 2015 and is still familiar with the Turkish Super Lig.

Ljajic made 29 appearances for Besiktas last season, scoring seven goals. His contract with the Istanbul club will expire at the end of June 2022.
