Turkish newspaper Sabah claim Fenerbahce’s board are waiting for West Bromwich Albion to get promotion to the Premier League so they can sell them Vedat Muriqi.
Slaven Bilic’s side are in 2nd place and currently one point ahead of high-flying Brentford, who’ve won their last eight Championship games.
Sabah report any move for Muriqi will depend on West Brom’s status next season, and if they get promoted to the English top flight then they can offer €20m for the striker.
West Brom manager Bilic, who also had a spell in Turkey with Besiktas between 2013 and 2015, is keen to sign Muriqi, as he believes the 26 year old would be a good addition to his squad.
Fenerbahce would like to sell Muriqi to fund other transfers, and they are waiting until the end of the season to evaluate offers.
Muriqi has also been linked with a move to Serie A clubs such as Napoli, Roma and Lazio.
The former Caykur Rizespor striker has scored 15 goals in the Super Lig this season, and is under contract at the Ulker Stadium until June 2023.
