West Brom to bid €25m for striker, improved offer, we take a look

 

On Monday, several Portuguese outlets are reporting an improved offer from West Brom for the Sporting striker Islam Slimani.

They all say the claims come from ESPN, who supposedly said the Baggies were offering the Portuguese side €25m.

We took a look at ESPN’s websites and found nothing. There’s only a mention of a Daily Mail article published two days ago, where they said West Brom were after the £25m rated striker Islam Slimani.

None of the Portuguese stories have a link to ESPN’s claims, so it only makes it more difficult to find the original source.

But all of them agree that €25m should still not be enough to buy Slimani, who’s only leaving Sporting for at least €30m, which is basically the same thing that’s been repeated in the past year.

A typical case of not a lot to see here. We’ll keep an eye on the Portuguese media for any more exciting updates.
