West Bromwich Albion have an agreement in place with Okay Yokuslu to return to the club this summer but face competition from Watford.
That’s according to AS, who say that the midfielder has ‘decided’ to play in England after his loan spell with West Brom last season.
The midfielder joined the Baggies in the second half of last year as Sam Allardyce tried to improve his squad to avoid relegation.
Despite that not happening, Yokuslu proved to be a massive hit at the club, with a series of impressive performances seeing him earn praise and plenty of transfer interest this summer.
AS back that up today and say it has become a ‘priority’ for Celta Vigo to sell him this summer, but he is yet to decide on a team to join.
West Brom remain interested in him after his loan spell and even have an agreement in place with the player, who ‘would not mind’ playing in the Championship if he does not have better offers.
However, one of those may come from Watford, with reports in Turkey stating that they have shown interest in Yokuslu too.
The fact they will be playing in the Premier League will work in Watford’s favour, with a relegation battle seemingly more attractive than a promotion push.
Celta, for their part, are looking to bring in around €5m for the midfielder, but it’s felt their need to make a sale may work against them getting that amount.
