Earlier today, Bild stated RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner is set to travel to London to complete a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur. The Bundesliga side’s technical director, Mario Gómez, also said this deal is a ‘win-win’ for all parties involved.
After securing Werner’s services, Spurs will likely shift their focus to a new centre-back this month. A few players have already been linked and Sevilla’s Loïc Badé has been added to the list.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC claim Tottenham are expected to make an offer for the 23-year-old in the next few hours.
The former Nottingham Forest man initially joined the La Liga side on loan and his stay was made permanent last summer. He has signed a deal until 2027 and the report says it includes a €55m release clause.
Despite this, Vamos Mi Sevilla FC indicate an offer around €35m would be enough to take the defender away from the Andalusian club.
Meanwhile, El Mira say Tottenham’s interest in the Frenchman has set off alarm bells at Sevilla.
He’s made 16 appearances this season and has drawn the attention of several Premier League sides. Among these, Spurs are said to be the favourites and could make an offer this month.
Journalist Fernando Serrano claims Sevilla will ask Tottenham for at least €35m. This is relayed by El Mira, who then add the Spanish club will have to listen to this offer.
Although Badé’s exit would be a blow for the club sporting wise, his sale for €35m is seen as a success, because it can help Sevilla [who paid €12m for him] improve their finances.
Sevilla have been open that their present business structure revolves around signing players for relatively low fees and selling them for multiples of the original fee.
