Despite it becoming clear that Liverpool are now interested in Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp, it seems things remain calm at Feyenoord.
Voetbal International, who are well informed, now share a story which says the Dutch club is still to be contacted by the Reds about the potential move.
“We’ll wait and see,” club director Dennis te Kloese is quoted as saying.
The Dutch media rates Slot quite highly, with Voetbal International highlighting the ‘good reputation’ the coach has abroad.
It’s pointed out that several Premier League clubs could end up interested in Slot, but he’d only accept a top side as a potential destination.
Liverpool are named as the type of ‘profile’ he’d like, just like he’s said to be the kind of option the Reds want to replace Klopp.
Feyenoord are now said to be waiting for a potential contact and see what they do, although Slot already claimed he expected the Eredivisie side to understand him if a top club come for him.
Earlier on Tuesday, reports from the Dutch media claimed the Reds are showing ‘concrete’ interest in the manager, as the talks have already kicked off.
Despite there being no contact with Feyenoord yet, Slot and his agents are said to be well aware of Liverpool’s interest.
