John Textor hopes to take over at Everton and add the Merseyside club to his group. The American businessman already has RWD Molenbeek in Belgium, French giants Lyon and Brazilian side Botafogo.
For the latter two he’s very much involved, often speaking to the media and laying out his big plans for the future.
However, he’s also currently the largest shareholder at Crystal Palace and he can’t take over Everton until he disposes of those shares.
Given he’s not got an indefinite time to wait with his attempted Everton purchase, there’s been something of a rush on to find interest in Crystal Palace.
That now appears to be moving forward, according to the man himself.
Textor has been giving a press conference on Wednesday and whilst it was largely focused on Lyon and their transfer market, everything else he’s got an interest in also got a mention.
When it comes to selling Crystal Palace, RMC quote the shareholder as saying: “We have very serious offers, we hope to sell before the end of the year, it will generate a large cash inflow.”
