Over the past few weeks, Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
On November 4th, we covered claims from Germany which stated the striker dreams of joining Liverpool, who are ahead in the transfer race.
Two days later, SportBild reported Liverpool are well placed to secure the 25-year-old’s services. It was also said the Reds and Bayern Munich are the options for him to leave the German club.
Last week, Bild journalist Marcel Reif said the Egypt international would be heading to Anfield next summer.
Win Win state Liverpool haven’t made contact or sent an offer to acquire the frontman’s services.
They’ve interviewed Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung about the player and when asked about the Liverpool links, he stated there’s been no approach from Arne Slot’s side so far.
‘No, we have no contact with Liverpool regarding Marmoush, no negotiations or contacts, I know the people there but there is nothing, there is no contact with any club regarding the player,” he said.
Marmoush has starred for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, scoring 14 goals and registering 10 assists from 17 games.
The director has ruled out an exit in January and was asked if the Egyptian can surpass the €95m fee they earned from Randal Kolo Muani’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023.
“I don’t know what kind of market value Omar Marmoush might bring in the end. I think that’s regardless of the date or the time or even if it happens at all. It’s hard to predict that, and frankly, we don’t care to predict that. We deal with the situation if it happens,” Hardung explained.
“If Omar wants to leave the club, which doesn’t seem to be possible at the moment, he is very happy here, happy with us, with the coach and the coaching staff. So, there is no need to talk about any possible numbers or records.”
