Kamaldeen Sulemana showed glimpses of his quality for Southampton during the 2024/25 season under Ivan Juric.
The Croatian used him regularly in the Premier League and despite the attacker scoring just once, he was a threat because of his impressive 1v1 ability in the final third.
There is now a possibility of the Ghanaian reuniting with Juric, who wants him at Atalanta.
Gazzetta dello Sport report the 23-year-old has had the manager’s confidence since their time at Southampton and as previously reported – the Bergamo club have already been in contact for a summer transfer.
Juric believes that he can help Sulemana unlock his potential at Atalanta and the player would also be open to the move.
Southampton had paid a fee of £22m to sign the Ghana international in 2023. Gazzetta believe that they could be prepared to let him depart for ‘we can assume €15m’.
This possibility is giving hope to Atalanta, who can lose Ademola Lookman this summer and are probing the market for replacements. Sulemana is a key option and other names on the shortlist are Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao and Salzburg’s Adam Daghim.
