On Thursday morning, Sky Italia reported that Watford made an approach for the signing of Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby.
It was claimed that the Hornets were only making an evaluation of the potential signing, with no offers yet, while the Serie A side would demand at least €5m for the move.
Well, this seems to be a story which is developing quickly, because it’s now Tutto Mercato Web who comes up with more information on this chase.
Responding to the reports about Watford’s interest, the outlet writes that Sampdoria are actually demanding €6m. They say the Hornets’ initial offer will be smaller than that, but it will be a starting point for the negotiations.
With Watford getting ready to play in the Premier League this season, it continues to sound like a very affordable signing for the Hornets this summer.
The club have so far confirmed the arrivals of Imran Louza, Emmanuel Dennis, Danny Rose, Ashley Fletcher and Peter Etebo.
