Sent to both Zulte Waregem and Willem II on loan by Watford last season, Obbi Oulare is preparing himself to spend more time away from Vicarage Road next year.

The 21-year-old forward, who scored a grand total of four goals in 22 appearances over his two loan stints, as well as picking up three assists, is expected to sign for Antwerp on a season-long loan very soon.

Het Nieuwsblad in Belgium are the ones reporting the news, claiming Oulare has already passed his medical with the Jupiler Pro League side, meaning we’re just waiting for the official confirmation from either Watford or Antwerp.

The striker was originally bought by the Hornets from Club Brugge for around £7m back in 2015, but never managed to break through, forcing the club to send him out on loan in order to develop and get some first-team football.

Hopefully for the Premier League side, this year will be the one when the Belgium U21 international lives up to his potential and transfer fee in order to provide Marco Silva with a selection headache once the 2017-18 season comes to an end.
