The Premier League side have been linked with the Brazilian this summer, with reports they were ready to offer €12m.
According to A Spor, Fenerbahce and Watford officials are expected to meet in the coming days to discuss Souza. The Turkish giants are hoping they can get €12m for the central midfielder, meaning Watford would need to offer €3m more to sign the 29 year old.
It now seems Watford are now leading the way for Souza despite interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion, but this rumours has been all over the place.
Yesterday the Turkish press claimed the Fenerbahce board could be looking to cash in on Souza in this transfer window as he only has 12 months left on his current contract
