A couple of days ago, Goal France revealed that Watford and Southampton were both interested in Enock Kwateng.

The young right-back, currently contracted to Nantes until June, is set to become a free agent in the summer, therefore making him an inviting option for many clubs.

Without doubting the website’s information, it’s always good to see news getting backed by other sources, and that’s what’s happened here, as 20 Minutes’ David Phelippeau took to Twitter to do so.

Very well informed with everything happening at the Ligue 1 club, the French journalist praised Goal France for their work and himself stated that both the Saints and the Hornets were indeed interested in Kwateng.

For Southampton, this move makes a lot of sense, especially after Cédric Soares was loaned out to Inter, failing to impress Ralph Hasenhuttl enough.

As for Watford, it all depends if Javi Gracia feels the likes of Daryl Janmaat or Kiko Femenia are good enough for his plans long-term, or if he sees Kwateng as a more viable option going forward.
