Watford aren’t wasting time in the January transfer window, and are one of the few Premier League clubs to have already started their recruitment.

It would appear the Hornets are looking to bring in additions for Claudio Ranieri quickly, and the latest of those is on his way from Ligue 1.

France’s RMC report that Watford have ‘reached an agreement’ with Nice for the transfer of Hassane Kamara.

There’s a few details left to be sorted out before the transfer can be made official, but those are just said to be administrative and it’s not thought they could hold up the deal.

Kamara is already in England, and whilst there’s no mention of a fee, previous reports had suggested the English club would be sending around €5m to France for the left-back.

RMC say the 27-year-old will be able to bring his speed to Watford, and Ranieri will hope that can help his side in both defence and attack.
