Watford are reportedly one of the clubs who are interested in the signing of Braga defender Bruno Viana.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola writes today that there should be a big race for the 25-year-old this summer, as several European sides have been keeping an eye on him.
Besides the Hornets, it’s claimed that Lazio, Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all keen on landing the player.
A Bola write that Viana is currently protected by a release clause of €25m, and admits it’s quite unlikely that any of these clubs will pay that amount this summer.
Still, Braga won’t let him go for peanuts. Back in January, the club rejected an offer from Flamengo, who wanted to pay €7.5m for 50% of his rights. They’ve told the Brazilian side that Viana would only leave for €20m.
That’s the minimum that Watford would have to spend to land Viana this summer, and depending on how the competition goes, this shouldn’t be an easy signing.
