There’s a claim in the Swedish media that Watford will allow Pontus Dahlberg to go out on loan next season as they look to close in on AS Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

Olsen has been linked with a move to the Hornets in recent weeks but if brought in this could have an impact on Dahlberg.

Fotbol Direkt have reported on Dahlberg’s situation at Watford as he still looks to make his senior debut for the Premier League side.

Last season the 20 year old found himself down the pecking order behind Ben Foster and Heurelho Gomes. With Gomes potentially leaving, Watford have been linked with Olsen and his arrival could prove to be another issue for Dahlberg.

It’s reported the young keeper spoke to Watford a few months ago with regards to going out on loan but at the time he was told it wasn’t their intention to send him to another club on a temporary basis.

However, it seems the English club have changed their stance with the young Swede, and he may now be sent out to get first team experience during the next campaign.
