Watford defender Christian Kabasele ‘does not want to leave’ the club this month, despite reports linking him with a move to Udinese.
Reports over the last week had indicated the centre-back could be part of a Pozzo special between the clubs, who are both owned by the Italian family.
Tuttosport today confirmed that was the case, and the defender could be part of some sort of swap between the two clubs, with Samir already joining Watford from Udinese.
That deal was said to be ‘hot’, but Walfoot say Kabasele has ‘no intention of leaving’ Vicarage Road this month or be part of any swap deal.
According to their information, he ‘has no intention of leaving’, and Watford have not expressed any wish for him to go either.
A departure is ‘not on the agenda’ for the player, who remains ‘very popular’ within the club and presumably with manager Claudio Ranieri.
Where the suggestion of a swap deal has come from then is anyone’s guess, but it seems it won’t be happening as neither Watford nor Kabasele are particularly keen on it.
