Etienne Capoue to Torino, for now, is not a thing.
While the Watford midfielder has indeed been linked with Fiorentina, most likely following the success of Jordan Veretout at the Serie A club. the story sending him to Walter Mazzarri’s new side doesn’t have anything it, yet.
Corriere dello Sport are the ones on Friday who put two and two together to make five, as they suggest the France international as a potential target for the Italian, since Capoue enjoyed his best spell under new Torino manager.
However, since the arrival of Marco Silva, the 29-year-old has been pushed to one side, having to wait for the odd start sprinkled amid coming off the bench sporadically.
With a contract running out next season, this might be the right time for the defensive midfielder to move elsewhere, and a new adventure in Serie A might be attractive.
For now, at least, it’s only a suggestion, but that might develop a bit later.
