Takvim report Watford have made a renewed attempt to sign Josef de Souza from Fenerbahce, and the Turkish club’s board are now talking with manager Phillip Cocu about the offer.

It’s reported that Watford are knocking on Fenerbahce’s door once again, but Takvim say Cocu doesn’t want Souza to leave as he thinks he’ll be a key player next season.

However, Fenerbahce are struggling to comply with FFP rules and the Turkish club may need to sell some some of their more senior players to fund other transfers this summer.

Subsequently the Brazilian midfielder could still leave the club, especially given Souza has just one year left on his contract with the Yellow Canaries.

Souza was linked with a move to Watford earlier in the transfer window following claims of a bid from the Premier League club, but those links went quiet.

The player came very close to signing for West Bromwich Albion last summer but stayed at Fenerbahce after PSG midfielder Gregorz Krychowiak joined the Baggies.
