Leicester City and Watford are two possible destinations for Lazio defender Bastos, according to reports from Italy today.

Website La Lazio Siamo Noi claims that after an approach from the Hornets, the player’s agents were now contacted by the Foxes.

Both clubs were also linked at the weekend.

Leicester City know they could lose Harry Maguire to Manchester United this summer, and it’s thought that now they see Bastos as a potential replacement.

The outlet claims that the negotiations are in the very early stages, but since the Premier League transfer window closes soon, both clubs will have to move quickly in case they want the 28-year-old.

Lazio’s plan is not to let Bastos go, but he’s not considered to be untransferable either. The Serie A side are ready to accept a bid in case either Leicester City or Watford offer between €13m and €15m for him.

It’s worth pointing out that Lazio defender Wallace is said to be close on joining Wolverhampton, so in case he goes, it’s quite likely the Italian club will work harder to keep Bastos.
