Watford are interested in signing Sébastien Corchia this summer. The Lille right back, who can also play in a more attacking role, is the subject of interest from several clubs, and three have taken things further.

L’Equipe report Watford have made a formal offer for the 26 year old, that’s along with an offer from Turkish club Besiktas and an unnamed Spanish side. The amount of Watford’s offer isn’t revealed by the French newspaper, but a rough idea of Lille’s asking price is.

The Ligue 1 club are asking for ‘at least’ €7m for the player, and it’s not stated if Watford’s offer has been rejected or not. Potential interest from big French clubs is mentioned, and there’s more than one club in Turkey keen on the defender.

Corchia has a contract with Lille which runs until June 2018, and that puts the club under some pressure to sell.

Lille would like movement made on incoming and outgoing transfers, and if Corchia is a serious target for Watford the club have a good chance of getting a deal done.
