Watford are eyeing a move for Hamburger SV youngster Amadou Onana as the 19-year-old eyes a move this summer.

That’s according to BILD, who say despite having a contract until 2024, Onana is working on getting away from the German side.

He recently parted ways with his Swiss agency SBE and is now represented by his sister Melissa instead.

She is ‘trying hard’ to find a new employer for her brother, and there are already several interested parties.

French side Lille are particularly keen and reportedly ready to pay €4m to sign him, although that would not even tempt HSV’s board into a discussion. They want at least €8-10m and can stick to it, given he has three years left on his deal.

Lille are not the only ones interested, with Watford also ‘looking specifically’ at him and Borussia Dortmund also said to have an eye on the situation.

Whether either side would match HSV’s demands isn’t mentioned, although Watford do have a history of scooping up youngsters when given a chance.

BILD say it’s a situation worth watching as a result, with his new agent ‘lurking’ in the background and trying to make a move happen.
