Watford are now linked to Chilean left-back Sebastián Vegas, even though the origin of this news is pretty weird.
It comes from Radio Agricultura, which is actually a very respected outlet in the Chilean media.
They were first covering news from somewhere else, which said Mexican side Monarcas Morelia are interested in Gonzalo Jara.
Radio Agricultura writes that Jara could be the fourth Chilean player at Morelia, who already have Jorge Validia, Rodrigo Millar and Sebastian Vegas.
So when speaking of Vegas, they state the left-back has been wanted by other clubs, such as America from Mexico and Watford from England.
That’s all they say as the final line of the story, with no details on the chase from any of the clubs.
They make it sound like the interest from America or Watford was well known, even though it sounds pretty new to us, and it looks like there’s nothing about it in the rest of the Latin American media either.
