Earlier today, we covered reports from Portugal which said Watford attended Porto’s league match against Vitória Guimarães at the weekend.
The news came on the same day Portuguese newspapers have been replicating news from Italy which said Yacine Brahimi has been offered to the Hornets.
Now we’ve dug a little to see what that’s all about. The story comes from Calcio Mercato, who focus on the fact that Brahimi has been offered to Inter Milan.
However, the website makes it clear that many Premier League sides are interested in the player, especially Watford, who are currently leading the race.
Brahimi’s contract with Porto expires at the end of the season, and after quite some time in Portugal, the player would be ready for a new challenge in his career.
Calcio Mercato claims that Inter Milan didn’t take the talks with much excitement, and will keep evaluating the situation for the next few months.
That should mean that if Watford are indeed interested, then there’s a real chance Brahimi could join for free in the next summer.
Since joining Porto in 2014, Brahimi has 50 goals and 40 assists in 197 games for the club.
