Over the weekend, some very conflicting reports emerged from Tunisia regarding the future of Al Duhail star Youssef Msakni.
The Tunisia international, who missed the World Cup over the summer because of a knee ligament injury, is apparently of interest to Watford, but also Brighton.
This is what GlobalNet were reporting, as they explained the Hornets and the Seagulls were after the 28-year-old, who scored 23 goals and picked up 14 assists in 20 league games last season.
Only just returning to training from his setback, Msakni might not even feature for the Qatari side again if Watford come forward, but, if they do, they’ll have to act fast.
As reported by Réalités Online, Brighton have apparently made the first move, as the website claim the winger is ‘very close’ to signing for them.
A flight to London has even been scheduled, meaning it could already be too late, but until the deal is confirmed, anything is possible.
We’ll have to keep an eye on this in the coming days.
