On December 20th, we carried a report from RMC Sport, who claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Abdoulaye Doucoure and the Watford midfielder is interested in the Ligue 1 winners’ project.
The same information has been once again relayed by Paris United, while they also claim that Everton are also interested in the 25-year-old, who has impressed with his displays for the Hornets.
It is still not clear as to where the Frenchman would end up, if Javi Gracia’s side decide to let him leave in the winter transfer market, but Paris United reports the Premier League side have already started looking for Doucoure’s replacements.
Watford have looked at several options and this includes 21-year-old Szymon Żurkowski, who plays for Polish club Górnik Zabrze and Huddersfield Town’s Philip Billing.
The Danish midfielder has already expressed his desire to continue playing in the Premier League and make a switch to a bigger club so that he can fulfil his dream of playing in the Champions League.
It is unlikely that Billing will be able to fulfil that dream if he joins Watford, but he could be provided with an opportunity to play in the Europa League, if Gracia’s men can finish the season by qualifying for Europe’s second tier club competition.
